"How to Collect the Semen Sample"

You MUST wait three days after your last ejaculation before you collect a sample for testing. If you do not do this you may get a false negative result.
The semen sample may be collected by masturbation directly into the sample cup

The semen sample must go into the sample cup since it makes the semen form a nice liquid solution. Put on the lid and swirl the semen sample around the base of the cup at least ten times.

Leave the cup for at least 15 minutes but not longer than 12 hours.

Swirl the sample again before you take out a sample of semen for testing.

Important Note: Freshly ejaculated semen is gel-like in consistency. After about one hour, or longer, the sample thins to a liquid consistency. The sample cup provided with the kit contains a substance that helps the semen become liquid more quickly ie after about 15 minutes. Only semen that is liquefied should be used in the test. Failure to do this may give incorrect results.
